Initially, a team of individuals who leak information about Call of Duty, known as Task Force Leakers 141, made statements via Twitter that the FR 5.56 modeled after the Famas weapon may be featured in Season 3. In a subsequent post, they provided a more expansive list of 13 weapons discovered in the game's data files that could potentially appear during Season 3. The list contains numerous weapons with unspecified names, however, data miners assert that one of them is the Intervention sniper rifle which originated and gained popularity in Modern Warfare 2 released in 2009.
Some noteworthy items featured on the mined data list consist of the Kali Sticks close-combat weapon from the well-known video game Modern Warfare 2019 and the submachine gun Tec-9 from Black Ops Cold War.
Before the start of Season 2, details about the crossbow and KV Broadside shotgun were revealed, and it is possible that this could happen again for Season 3. However, information gathered through data mining does not ensure the inclusion of these weapons in any future seasonal updates.
The Task Force Leakers 141 have made a prediction that Alejandro Vargas, Valeria Garza, and Alex Keller might be added as game operators for Season 3. However, the images containing information about these characters have been taken down from Twitter via DMCA takedowns. This action usually indicates that the said operators are highly likely to appear in Modern Warfare 2 sometime in the future.
In addition, the villain known as Shredder from TMNT is being added to Call of Duty as a new operator. For a limited time, players can purchase the Tracer Pack: The Shredder bundle in the game's shop.
